While Certify stores measurements and outcomes of GHG calculations at high precision, some values are rounded to a fixed level of precision.

Removals

On submission of a Removal, the total net CO2 removed value is rounded to the nearest 10kg value (0.01 tonnes).

GHG Statements

The total net CO2 removed for a GHG statement is calculated as the sum of each removal after they are rounded. The total will be a value with a precision of 10kg (0.01 tonnes).

Credit batches

Credit batches will be issued at a 0.01 credits precision (10kgs). When initially split with the buffer pool, and during subsequent split events (transfers, deliveries and retirements), they can be split to a 0.001 credit level of precision (1kg).
