Creating a GHG statement
To create and submit a GHG statement:1
Create a draft statement
In the GHG statements section of your project in Certify, click Create GHG statement.
2
Define your statement period
Add a start and end date for the current statement.
If you’ve already created removals, the dates entered will define which removals are automatically included in this statement: ensure that the date range covers all the removals you wish to include.
3
Create removals
On the removals tab of the GHG Statement, click Add removal. Learn how to create removals here.
4
Optionally add reporting period emissions
If you need to account for emissions associated with the statement reporting period, that are not currently allocated to removals or otherwise accounted for as Project emissions, you can add them under the Reporting period emissions tab.
5
Optionally perform a sensitivity analysis
If it’s the project’s first GHG Statement you’ll need to perform a sensitivity analysis to account for uncertainty. Go to the Sensitivity analysis tab and click calculate sensitivity.
6
Prepare your GHG statement report
Statement data should be accompanied by a written report for the reporting period. The report should be uploaded to a shared drive visible to your assigned verifier and Isometric team.
7
Submit statement
Click Submit GHG statement and enter the link to your statement report in the dialog.
Amending a GHG statement
Statements can be amended after they have been submitted. Amendments may be made by the supplier independently, or in response to issues raised by Isometric or a verifier. The following changes can be made:- Edit existing removals by clicking into them and selecting Edit
- Add new removals by going to the removals tab and selecting Add removal
- Edit the GHG Statement dates by selecting the three dots to the right of the statement ID, and select GHG Statement Dates
