# Datapoint precision

> How Certify stores measurements and GHG calculations at high precision with specific rounding rules for removals, statements, and credits

While Certify stores measurements and outcomes of GHG calculations at high precision, some values are rounded to a fixed level of precision.

## Removals

On submission of a Removal, the total net CO<sub>2</sub> removed value is rounded to the nearest 10kg value (0.01 tonnes).

## GHG Statements

The total net CO<sub>2</sub> removed for a GHG statement is calculated as the sum of each removal after they are rounded. The total will be a value with a precision of 10kg (0.01 tonnes).

## Credit batches

Credit batches will be issued at a 0.01 credits precision (10kgs). When initially split with the buffer pool, and during subsequent split events (transfers, deliveries and retirements), they can be split to a 0.001 credit level of precision (1kg).
