# Create a project

> How to create new CDR projects in Certify for all certified Isometric Protocols with step-by-step project setup guidance

New CDR projects can be created in your Certify account for all certified [Isometric Protocols](https://registry.isometric.com/protocols).

To add a project:

  <Step title="Complete project details and location">
    Click **Create a new project** from your Certify account and complete your project's title, short description (up to 400 characters) and country of operation.

    <Tip>
      It is recommended to use a short, descriptive name for your project title. The project protocol and supplier name do not need to be included in the title.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select pathway and protocol">
    Choose the pathway and Isometric Protocol that your project will be credited under. Contact your Partnership Manager if you need to set up a project for a protocol that is not yet certified.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select modules">
    Select any protocol modules used for your project. Any required modules will be selected automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm details and create">
    Click the **Create project** button to set up a new project.

## Overview page

On creation of a new project, the Certify Overview page provides a status update of the outstanding tasks required in the product for your project validation and first credit issuance.

## Confirm project settings

The settings for your project are displayed in the **Project details** section. For many protocols, no additional settings need to be provided to those provided during project creation.

For the protocols listed below, additional settings must be provided as part of your project setup.

    * **Durability**: 200+ or 1000+ years
    * **Production batch sampling method**: measure every batch or sampling a production process

    For Enhanced Weathering in Agriculture 1.1, the key settings and their
    respective options are:

    * **Monitoring framework**: 2-plot or 3-plot model
    * **Quantification method**: soil or porewater
    * **Validation method**: soil, porewater or ion exchange resins

These choices determine the data required for Validation and Verification. To edit a setting, click the `...` icon next to it.

  Settings are locked once your project has been validated or relevant data has
  been uploaded. Make sure you set your project settings before uploading your
  data. If you need to edit a project setting after it has been locked, please
  contact [support@isometric.com](mailto:support@isometric.com).
